Motion During Treatment

During a Biowave treatment patients feel a deep, smooth tingling and pressure sensation as the muscle within the volume of treatment is held in tension. Movement may cause a stronger or weaker sensation and will cause the electrical field to shift slightly. The patient should be made aware that moving in one direction may cause the sensation to increase.

Focusing the Therapeutic Signal

The goal is to have the patient slightly articulate the joint at the treatment location to shift the sensation caused by the electrical field so that if focuses directly onto the primary point of pain. this is a fine tuning of the signal that will provide the best treatment result.

If the patient is in an awkward body position when the sensation from the signals is focused on the point of pain, the patient should only hold that position for 5 seconds, then return to a neutral position. The patient may then repeat this process during the entire treatment.
