Elbow and Arm Electrode Placements

Lateral epicondylitis

Lateral Epicondylitis

Use E-Set Electrodes

The small round electrode is placed directly over the primary point of pain on the lateral side (outside) of the elbow.

Because the tissue in the region of the elbow is very sensitive to stimulation and because elbow pain is usually focused in a single location, the larger rectangular electrode is always placed on the top of the shoulder across the spine of the scapula. This is a very comfortable location to receive stimulation which allows the patient to achieve a higher intensity level and a greater therapeutic result at the small electrode over the site of pain.

Medial epicondylitis

Medial Epicondylitis

Use E-Set Electrodes

The small round electrode is placed directly over the primary point of pain on the medial side (inside) of the elbow.

Biceps tendinitis

Biceps Tendinitis

Use E-Set Electrodes

The small round electrode is placed directly over the primary point of pain which can be at the top or bottom of the biceps tendon.

Pain in region of elbow
