Body Position

Position of the body during the treatment is important. Generally, the volume of tissue being treated should be in a slightly taut position. Sitting in a supported position, such as on an athletic training or physical therapy table is best for most treatment locations on the body.

Low Back and Buttocks

Torso should be at approximately 90 degress to the legs, causing tissue in the low back and buttocks to be taut. If necessary, the patient can be in a prone position during treatment.

Knee

Knee should be bent at approximately 80 degrees. This angle provides the strongest sensation inside the knee during treatment which yields the best outcome.

Shoulder

Generally, sitting is the most comfortable position during treatment. Arm should be in a neutral position, resting against the side of the body with theelbow slightly bent.
